The diaTribe Vault

This is a selection from our archive of sonnets, each written by a member of the diaTribe, and published here on the diaTribe Web by PM Productions.  This is a bold move on the part of our contributing authors, each of whom are publishing their work gratis, each of whom you may contact via an email address following their respective submission.  Support them by telling them what you think - or, at the very least, don't nick their stuff.

Dreams

As darkness fell, a rattling dream came nigh
And spun me, shaking, trembling, less than sure
Of any waking dreams that might outcry
To tempt me, when awake, from love so pure.

The dream, though bitter, spoke to our affair
Of fruitless alleys, and of tangent need;
A need within the blushing to declare,
Despite the blush, a brush our fire to feed.

Subconscious fire did flicker in my mind
T'ward lightened paths of alleys yet awake
In constant waking dreams. And still, I find
My spirit charting better charts to take.

Within you and without, I see my cause
Bend to the course which leads to your applause.
