The diaTribe Vault

This is a selection from our archive of sonnets, each written by a member of the diaTribe, and published here on the diaTribe Web by PM Productions.  This is a bold move on the part of our contributing authors, each of whom are publishing their work gratis, each of whom you may contact via an email address following their respective submission.  Support them by telling them what you think - or, at the very least, don't nick their stuff.

Schonheit Und Das Vieh

Light fire in glass-green eyes, pull tight the reins
That limit leaning's thund'rous flight. Review
The bitter mem'ries that speak to our pains
Of love not filled, of bitter impromptu.

In emeralds lie your eyes' rich memory,
Locked up in shudders, gripped by our embrace.
As in my mist, our time I only see...
Through all of life I'll see naught but your face.

Although in hope, I wander through the days
Without your touch. I still erupt in fear
When faced with knowing you've gone different ways --
When faced with life without your laugh so clear.

Our best remains...Before this planet ends,
Discard the worst...Can't we yet speak as friends?
